Governing body for amateur golf in Scotland. Runs all national amateur championships and the PING Scottish Open Series — a multi-venue handicap tournament open to all club members.

Governing body for amateur golf in England. Organises English national championships and maintains the WHS platform for English clubs.

🏴󠁧󠁢󠁷󠁬󠁳󠁿

Governing body for amateur golf in Wales. Organises the Welsh Amateur and Welsh Open Stroke Play championships, and manages the WHS platform for its 150+ affiliated clubs.

Single governing body for golf across the island of Ireland. Hosts over 70 national and regional amateur championships annually, including the Flogas Irish Men's and Women's Amateur Opens.

Rules of Golf & World Handicap System

The R&A — randa.org

Governs the Rules of Golf worldwide (except the US and Mexico), co-authors the World Handicap System, and organises The Open Championship, the AIG Women's Open and The Senior Open. Their Rules Hub includes the complete interactive Rules of Golf, the visual Player's Rule Finder and committee procedures.

USGA — usga.org

Governs the Rules of Golf for the United States and Mexico, and co-authors the World Handicap System with The R&A. Organises the U.S. Open, U.S. Women's Open and U.S. Senior Open, and provides extensive rules education, quizzes and tournament administration guidelines.
