The Money Table

What a £1 sweep and a £1 twos would have paid on Saturdays (and Summer Sundays) – just for fun

All Winter League cards, Winter 2020 to Winter 2026. Dates link to the published round results; names link to player pages. Small grey numbers are CDH numbers.

For fun – these are the winnings the £1 sweep and £1 twos would have paid, based on the cards; not real payouts.

The rules

Which rounds count: every Saturday competition is a money round, and in the Summer League so is every Sunday competition (the big events) – a Summer weekend with both has two money rounds. Winter League Sunday rounds and weekday rounds don’t count, with one exception at Christmas and New Year: the first competition after Christmas Day or New Year’s Day counts if it is played within the following week and isn’t a Saturday (Saturdays count anyway) – for example Sun 2 Jan 2022 (New Year’s Day was a Saturday) and Tue 3 Jan 2023. In the Winter League that can only be a Sunday when the holiday itself fell on a Saturday, so Sun 31 Dec 2023 does not count. A week with no round at all was a weather cancellation. Everybody who hands in a card in a money round puts in £1 for the sweep and £1 for the twos.

Sweep: the pot is £1 a player. 1st gets half, 2nd a third and 3rd the rest, to the nearest pound (halves round up): 30 players pay £15 / £10 / £5, 3 players £2 / £1 / £0, 5 players £3 / £2 / £0, 11 players £6 / £4 / £1. The whole pot is always paid out, never more. Places are the official results order (countback); players still level after the countback share the prize money of the places they fill.

Twos: the pot is £1 a player plus any rollover. Every two (a gross 2 on any hole) gets an equal share, rounded down to whole pounds so no more than the pot is paid; the pounds left over by the rounding roll on to the next money round, and if nobody has a two the whole pot rolls on. Rollovers start again at £0 each season, so a pot nobody has won by the end of a season is a donation to the club. Winter League rounds are on Saturdays and Sundays; only the Saturday one is a money round (apart from the Christmas and New Year rule above).

The season switches choose which seasons are counted – any combination; your choice is remembered on this computer.
